Presentation: Reducing Cybersecurity Exposure Through Digital Transformation

Speaker: Carlos Sanchez, Global Enablement Engineer, Operational Technology – Fortinet

Abstract: Critical infrastructure was traditionally threatened by natural disasters. Responsibility for protection was focused on the impact of disasters on systems and the environment. Now we have a new threat in the physical world with the rise of cybernetic actors and their influence in the energy, transport, manufacturing sectors. The networks and infrastructures responsible for protecting personnel security systems are under constant attack. All security conventional methods can easily be defeated by hostile nations and hired hackers. Solutions that adapt changes in the environment dynamically providing visibility, control, and intelligence needed to automatically respond – make strategic decisions are of paramount importance. This presentation will cover the methods – systems recommended by Fortinet to protect critical infrastructure about unknown and known threats.
